Ethereal Holographic Runways

This Ralph Lauren Fashion Show Had a Holographic Projection on Water

The Spring 2015 Polo Ralph Lauren fashion show was set up as an impressive 4D catwalk, where the images of models were projected onto a 60' water wall in Central Park. With the dynamic nature of the fashion show, the background morphed from a full harvest moon to a streetscape to the top of a lighthouse.

This blend of fashion and technology goes well above and beyond showing off the modernity of the garments in the Polo for Women Fall 2015 collection. Because the whole show was projected on a wall of water, it has a dreamy, ethereal quality that doesn't make it as harsh and the depictions of holographic technology that we often see in sci-fi movies and TV. What better way to kick off the launch of a new brand than with an innovative runway show to make it the most memorable of all the shows at Fashion Week?
