Geometric Patchwork Art

The PUSH 'In Other Words' Exhibit Features Chromatic Patterns

The PUSH 'In Other Words' exhibit just opened at the Known Gallery in Los Angeles. PUSH, a graffiti and mural painter, steps outside his comfort zone a bit by working with canvas, wood and paper -- a medium that the artist has not worked with before. Repeating geometric patterns that are alive and full of color decorate most canvases, and are contrasted with paintings using similar patterns, but only black and white paint. The bright colors with thick, black outlines reminds me of the artwork from Dr. Suess story books. The works displayed in the exhibit took a full year to complete.

If you are going to be in the Los Angeles area and you have the time, check out the PUSH In Other Words exhibit, which runs from now until November 3rd at the Known Gallery.
