This Promotional Marketing Stunt Takes an Axe to an NYC Cab

This promotional marketing stunt in New York City involved chopping a taxi with a giant weapon that was definitely not of this world. The PR stunt for the World of Warcraft was set up to launch the World of Warcraft: Warlords of Draenor expansion pack.

The stunt was announced with a tweet from World of Warcraft, announcing that the warlords have left their mark on New York City and that Azeroth would be up next. Although the bold yellow taxi cab could have taken a bit more of a beating, this World of Warcraft stunt still proved to be a great photo op set in the heart of Times Square since an axe of that magnitude is thankfully just not something that you happen to see everyday on the streets of NYC.
