Project Ara is a Build Your Own Phone

Google’s Project Ara is gearing up to her consumers ready to create and build their very own smartphone bit by bit. There will be three Project Ara conferences. The first one will take part April 15-16. It will be held online to allow developers the ability to attend from anywhere around the world. Google will host a small in-person gathering at the Computer History Museum which is located near its headquarters in Mountain View, California.

Project Ara is Google’s moonshot into the smartphone world. It hopes to break the device into a variety of components including camera, processor, storage and much more. This would allow the consumers to purchase them separately and to upgrade their experience to fit their liking. Google describes the project saying it will do what Andriod did for mobile software, except for mobile hardware.
