Junk-E-Cat has released the first Prisma-made music video on his Instagram. Prisma is a photo-editing app that uses artificial intelligence and neural networks to alter photos into art-inspired "hand-drawn" images. Prisma is planning to release a video-editing version of its current photo-editing app.
Junk-E-Cat edited each individual frame of his music video on Prisma and then merged all 799 edited frames back into music video format. Junk-E-Cat used the Traverse Line filter to give the music video an animated film-like quality. The creative use of the photo-editing app has the potential to inspire similar music videos that would utilize the various filters offered by Prisma.
Although no release date for the Prisma video-editing app has been announced, its release has the potential to alter the way music videos are produced and edited.
