L-Shaped Abodes

Th 'Princeton House 02' is Surrounded by 100-Foot Trees

The 'Princeton House 02' is a modern home that pays respect to its surroundings by contrasting it. Typically, a home in a wooded area would also be clad in timber in order to seamlessly blend in with nature. The Princeton House 02 however, stands out and is built from bright white corrugated metal. The house pays homage to its surroundings by its use of large windows and expansive views.

When designing the home, New York architecture firm Levenbetts ensured that the main living spaces overlooked some of the best views, including a small front courtyard. All of the rooms in the house are placed on the perimeter of the property to take advantage of natural light and exposure to nature. Windows are strategically placed to coordinate with residents' eye-lines and are indications of a gathering area for the family.
