Melbourne's 'Premier Tower' Boasts a Form Inspired by Beyonce

There's no question that celebrities have a constant influence in the world of design, typically seen the most in the fashion industry—but now, the 'Premier Tower' that's being erected in Melbourne that's being referred to as "the Beyoncé Tower."

The tower design from Australian architectural firm Elenberg Fraser was created entirely with parametric modelling and boasts a form that was inspired by "woman dancing in black cloth." Beyoncé fans will immediately recognize this reference to the video for 'Ghost' from Beyoncé's self-titled album from 2013.

As well as having a striking appearance, the curvaceous bending tower offers the best possible solutions to wind, solar and structural criteria for the site. The completed Premier Tower will contain 796 residential units and 187 hotel rooms, as well as café and retail spaces.
