Mouthwatering Poutine Tornadoes

Chef Josh Elkin Puts a Literal Spin on a Traditional Canadian Dish

Visit Canada and many visitors will be told they have to try a poutine; those who are exceptionally adventurous will want to get their hands on a Poutine Tornado. Created by Canadian chef Josh Elkin, who is also a member of the popular YouTube cooking show, Epic Meal Time, it's a tall order. BuzzFeed writes, "[The Poutine Tornado] features hand-cut fries spiraled around a cheese curd middle, with hot gravy oozing from the top-down. It’s the first and only of its kind."

Stuffed with cheese curds and dripping in gravy, the Poutine Tornado may not be available as a regular menu item anywhere, but the MTL Blog has provided a recipe so anyone can make it at home.
