popshelf is the name of a brand-new retail store concept from Dollar General that's designed to deliver an experience that's fun, affordable and stress-free, with a focus on non-consumable goods. At the store, consumers will be able to find everything from home decor and health products to beauty items—and approximately 95% of the products in the store are priced at just $5 or less.

As Emily Taylor, Dollar General’s executive vice president and chief merchandising officer describes, "At popshelf, customers will find a differentiated retail concept that seeks to bring joy to their shopping experiences, with surprising deals in targeted non-consumable product categories.

The first two popshelf locations will be opening their doors near Nashville, Tennessee.
