The Conceptual Pop Art TV Box Prevents Controller Loss

Losing the remote control in the living room is an almost daily occurrence for many watchers, which is something the conceptual Pop Art TV Box is intended to combat against. The streaming box features an artistic design that features a dedicated cutout where the circular remote control can be positioned when not in use. This acts as a way to prevent remote control loss, while also wirelessly charging it and automatically turning the system off to save power.

The designers spoke on the streaming box saying, "This recess serves as a visual cue for users to return the remote control to the charging dock when not in use. When the remote control is put back in place, the set-top box automatically shuts down to save power."

The conceptual Pop Art TV Box is the design work of Shenzhen Skyworth Digital Technology and is the winner of the Red Dot Design Concept Award for 2022.
