Polyunomi by Abel Lakatos is Futuristically Organic-Looking

Polyunomi by Abel Lakatos, an industrial designer based in Budapest, Hungary, is a cup that looks like a relic from the time of cavemen. Its rough, polygonal surface could have been shaped by stone knives and lots of physical banging. In reality, the material it is made out of wouldn't have survived such harsh handling.

Made out of fine herendi porcelain, Polyunomi by Abel Lakatos was high fired in Danloff gaskiln up to 1350°C. This treatment has given it a unique transparent appearance that makes it look as though it were glowing when in certain lights. This gives the cup a futuristic, organic aesthetic. Burnished by hand, Polyunomi by Abel Lakatos is smooth and tactile. Great for various drinks, it is certainly a conversation starter.
