The Conceptual Polestar 'Trambus' by Junghyun Kim is Autonomous

The conceptual Polestar 'Trambus' is a modular hybrid public transportation rendering that imagines what could be done to keep traffic flowing during rush hour on city streets. The high-capacity hybrid tram would allow additional cars to be added on to accommodate more passengers according to the time of day, which would decrease the number of individual vehicles on the road. A flexible, bellow-shaped channel would connect each of the cars to allow passengers to freely move throughout the vehicle when required.

The conceptual Polestar 'Trambus' is the design work of transportation design student Junghyun Kim as an entry into the 2021 Polestar Design Contest. The public transportation concept cleverly envisions an adaptable approach to keeping citizens moving at all hours of the day.
