Poetic Cosmos of the Breath by Tomas Saraceno is Inflated at Dawn

Argentina-born installation artist Tomas Saraceno often has his head in the clouds, which is a good thing because it yields such creations as Poetic Cosmos of the Breath. Abandoning the geometric structure often found in his work, such as the sculpture created for the Met Exhibit and his habitable floating platforms, this art installation is much more fluid in both looks and function.

Commissioned for the 2nd International Artist Airshow in London, England, Poetic Cosmos of the Breath created a spectacular sight at dawn. Pinned down with sand bags and regularly filled with air, the giant and colorful, circular foil would interact with the morning light in a breathtaking way. Essentially becoming a magnificent rainbow orb, witnesses were encouraged to revel in the purity of its beauty.
