As I look at the Pod Pavilion, I can't help but compare it to our lazy little friends known as slugs. The similarities are clear, namely its low-lying perch and slithering body. Designed by Studio Nicoletti Associati, the Pod Pavilion is certainly not squeamish to look at; instead, it's rather adorable.
Located in the area of Petaling Jaya, which is west of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, the Pod Pavilion was actually inspired by water drops in nature. Its round and soft shape is made dynamic by way of its undulating sections, which rise and fall as it stretches into the horizon.
The Pod Pavilion is constructed out of steel members and spectrally reflective aluminum panels.
