The creative agency ‘Valiant’ unveiled its plans to release a new plus-size female superhero called Faith "Zephyr" Herbert. Instead of recreating another female superhero as an over-sexualized woman with a slim waist, Zephyr is a curvaceous blonde bombshell.
This newly imagined plus-size female heroine is an average woman who loves science fiction and has an active dating life. She works as a reporter during the day and patrols the streets of her city at night wearing a face mask.
The female-empowering character aims to eliminate the negative female body stereotypes, while providing young girls with a unique heroine. This lovable hero boasts realistic attributes combined with super-human abilities to give girls a new role model to look up to. The first comic book is set to be released at the beginning of the new year in January 2016.
