Compostable Plastic-Free Footwear

The WAES Footwear is Made with Naturally Derived Materials

The billions of pairs of shoes that are manufactured each year are usually created with plastic somewhere in the design, so the WAES plastic-free footwear has been created as an alternative. The sneakers feature a laid-back design aesthetic that is 100% free of plastic and actually made with materials that will biodegrade to ensure they aren't hanging around in environment after use. This includes organic tanned leather or organic canvas, conifer glue, a lactae hevea sole and hemp and cotton thread throughout to keep everything sewn together.

The WAES plastic-free footwear is the design work of Edward Temperley and Damian Quinn, and is competitively priced to ensure that the sneakers are as accessible as possible. The brand is also focused on ecological sustainability and will plant a mangrove tree for every shoe purchased to help support marine ecosystems.
