The Labyrinth of Plastic Waste by design studio luzinterruptus addresses environmental issues with its striking design. The light installation was presented at the Katowice Street Art Festival in Poland last May and has been gaining praise for its chapel-like maze interior.
When describing their design, the luzinterruptuswe team states that they are "looking to demonstrate, in a poetic manner, the amount of plastic waste that is consumed daily, in addition to focusing attention on the big business of bottling water, which leads to very serious problems in developing countries."
This light installation is made up of 26 meters of plastic waste that is turned into a 7 by 5 meter and 3.4 meter high structure. The piece is filled with corridors and labyrinths that can be walked through and also features colored packaging that diffuses light and the sun's rays.
