Canadian natural skincare brand Province Apothecary is making available a very special plant medicine book to curious minds. If it doesn't capture you with its title and subject matter, 'Medicines to Help Us' will definitely entice you with its illustrated cover. The book is based on Métis artist Christi Belcourt’s painting by the same name and it contains "centuries-old healing traditions of Métis women."
Alongside the information that is made available to the public through the generosity of Indigenous communities, the plant medicine book features twenty-seven gallery-quality prints. The publication also spotlights "contributions from Métis Elders Rose Richardson and Olive Whitford, as well as key Michif phrases and terminology."
100% of the proceeds from this book is going to The Native Women's Resource Centre of Toronto.
