London digital agency Poke took it upon themselves to create this tool using Open Street Map data, SunCalc, FourSquare math and a few other applications. With Pints in the Sun, you can search for a pub, locate it on a map and then move a slider to coincide with a certain time of day. The map shows the location of the pub and how much shade or sun it will be exposed to at a certain point in the day. The Poke web application is still in the experimental phases, but it's still a handy tool for locating a perfectly sunny UK pub.
