Vintage Vietnam-Inspired Restaurants

Pinky's Ca Phe Fuses a 70s Vietnamese Diner with a Speakeasy

Pinky's Ca Phe was founded by Leemo Han, inspired by the vintage aesthetics of Vietnam. During Han's trip to the Southeast Asian country, he noticed a lot of women wearing pink blush, hence the name of the restaurant. The ambiance of the space blends a 70s-style Vietnamese diner with a speakeasy. The main dining space is adorned with lantern lights, plants and old photographs that recall the streets of Vietnam. There is also a heated sunroom and two patio spaces to further exude the warm vibes of the country.

Han was raised in Philadelphia, where there was a dominant Vietnamese crowd, and that heritage shows through the menu options. There are recreated versions of mango papaya salads with grilled squid and his own butter beef iteration. Some other standout food items from the menu include crispy chicken legs barbecued right on the back patio, a Philly cheesesteak sandwich with a pho broth dip, a banh mi sandwich station and whole roasted pigs.
