This Pineapple IPA Aims to Raise Funds for Maui-Based NGOs

Portland, Oregon-based Ecliptic Brewing has teamed up with Maui Brewing Company of Hawaii to create a pineapple IPA that isn't merely designed to provide a pleasurable drinking experience, but also aims to raise funds to help support relief efforts in the wake of the devastating Maui wildfires.

Accordingly, a portion of proceeds from every pint of the 'Bay Breeze Pineapple IPA' sold through Ecliptic's locations will be donated to the Legacy of Aloha NGO as well as other non-profits.

The beer itself is available in the form of 16-ounce cans as well as draft. The 'BayBreeze Pineapple IPA' is built upon a pale malt foundation and features a trio of hops of the El Dorado, Chinook and Sabro varieties. Pure pineapple puree adds the distinctive tropical flavor profile of the beer, which comes in at 6.5 percent ABV.
