Uber Users Can Now Pick Up Grocery Orders During Their Ride

Uber, the popular rideshare program and food delivery brand, recently announced the launch of a new Pickup and Go feature that enables passengers to order and pick up groceries and meals while en route to their chosen destination. The new feature allows users to place multiple orders from various restaurants and stores at the same time.

"Throughout the pandemic, we've worked with more than 1 million merchants to help move more than 1.5 billion orders of meals and grocery items," CEO Dara Khosrowshahi said in a video on Uber's website.

The new Pickup and Go feature allowing users to combine food and grocery orders for free will be available starting this June in select cities across Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, and Taiwan. Initially, the feature will be limited to convenience stores like 7-Eleven and Wawa that are located near the restaurant being ordered from.
