Photoshop for Video

Video Editing Research from the University of Washington

New research from the University of Washington makes video editing as easy as image editing in Photoshop. Functionality we take for granted in Photoshop, like editing resolution, range, exposure and object alterations, were time-consuming and difficult to do with most video editing software. Now, using a blend of altered still shots and video of the same scene, video can be enhanced just as easily as images are.

At this time, researchers can only edit video of static scenes--scenes without moving objects in them. However, the user-friendly interface of UW's visual effects software poses an innovative new way to edit video.
