The Photopic Sky Survey Puts The Entire Night Sky into Perspective

One of the most high definition interpretations of outer space is the Photopic Sky Survey. It is a 5,000 megapixel representation of the cosmos seen at night and sets a clear description of what the starry night looks like. Users are able to move through the panoramic display offered at the host website and learn about the various stars, constellations and clusters by simple clicking on them. Much like Google Maps, double clicking allows one to zoom in to points of interest.

The project spanned over 45,000 sky miles and 15,000 miles on land this project finally gives all of us who cannot travel such distances at our will a chance to experience the world beyond ours. The importance behind knowing all elements of one's existence are only made apparent once they are experienced.
