Scary Surf Shots

Photographer Lee Kelly's Dramatic Surfing Photos Showcase Danger

Photographer Lee Kelly's surf photos are noteworthy for their ability to capture the surfers just as they are in the eye of the beast, waves arching over their heads and presenting the illusion of imminent danger.

Lee Kelly's eye for surf photography has allowed him to travel all over the world, including Hawaii, Indoenesia, South Africa, Brazil, Australia, Tonga and even China. A completely self-taught photographer, Lee Kelly does not take the opportunities he has earned for granted.

"For me, surf photography has always been a hobby which has allowed me to travel with my friends and provide some good pocket money along the way," he said. "It would be great to earn my bread and butter from this lifestyle, so I'm always open to new opportunities."
