Mobile-to-Console Gaming Controls

The Phonejoy Extension Turns an Android Into a Game Controller

The worlds of smartphones and gaming collide once again with the introduction of Phonejoy, an Android extension hardware that syncs via Bluetooth and attaches to both sides of the phone turning it into a traditional gaming controller.

Sometimes, the problem with playing games on your smartphone is you can’t get the same experience as you would on a traditional console such as Nintendo DS or a Sony PSP. Usually, this is because the screen houses both the gameplay and the controls which can make things difficult.

The Phonejoy aims to solve that problem by inserting your Android phone into a piece of hardware that features game controls on both sides. Phonejoy basically looks like a Sony PSP without a screen in the middle. The left control houses the joystick and directional pad and the right panel has the buttons.
