Robotbase Debuts 'Personal Robot' Technology at CES 2015

Although it's been depicted in sci-fi movies and TV for decades, personal robot technology is now starting to get closer to becoming a reality. Debuted at CES 2015, Robotbase introduced its 'Personal Robot,' a project that introduces an intelligent assistant for the home, capable of doing everything from providing wake-up calls to monitoring the home's temperature and air quality.

The robot is able to wheel around on her own on a mirror-like pedestal that features a friendly, animated face on it. Like a human, the bot is able to recognize objects, understand you and offer advanced dialogue back. For instance, upon rising, the bot will be able to note if you've had a good night of rest or not, based on your sleep cycle and resting heart rate. Then, the personal robot is able to put on a pot of coffee through home automation to help ease you into your day.
