Iconic French wine and spirit maker Pernod Ricard has announced the launch of a new digital label system that will enable shoppers to scan the brand's products with their phones and receive information about its ingredients, health risks, as well as details regarding local drinking laws.

The new system was designed to create an interactive way to engage customers and promote brand transparency. In addition, the company will introduce two new pictogram warnings on all of its packagings. These will include a logo warning against drinking generally and an illustration warning against drunk driving and underage drinking.

"As a consumer-centric company committed to responsible drinking, this new digital label system strives to respond to our customers’ evolving needs.
