Per Nilsson Turns Letters and Numbers into Famous Buildings

Swedish engineer and designer Per Nilson illustrated three posters based on famous fonts and iconic buildings.

He drew inspiration from the well-known fonts Helvetica, Garamond and Futura to create posters that feature famous landmarks. Letters, numbers and symbols make up the structure of each building. Each building uses one of the particular fonts based on how they relate to each other. For example, The Arc de Triomphe is composed of letters and numbers from the Garamond font because Garamond was designed by Claude Garamond who was working in France in the 1500s.

These posters are a clever way to pair famous structures with famous fonts and they are the ideal gift for typography lovers and architecture enthusiasts. The posters are minimalist and black and white so both the structures and the fonts can be equally appreciated.
