Revived Pool Facilities

The Peckham Rye Lido Facility Will Include a Natural Pool

Peckham Rye Lido is a facility, located in south-east London, that is bidding to re-open a facility that once had an outdoor swimming pool, the only remnants of which include a crumbling fountain that is certainly not a sight for sore eyes.

The plans, put together by competition winners Studio Octopi, will see the creation of fully purpose-built open-air pools located right in parkland. The facility will house a massive Olympic-size heated pool as well as another natural pool that will make use of water sourced from the nearby river. The space will also include an outdoor cinema, elevated sunbathing areas and various workout and fitness facilities.

The Peckham Rye Lido is an innovative project in that it manages to revive an old facility whilst adding modern touches and functionality.
