Voice Recognition Smartwatch Apps

The Pebble Time Smartwatch App Supports Voice Recognition

The new Pebble Time smartwatch app is designed to make it easier for existing Pebble Time users to be able to respond to emails, text messages and other communications without having to reach into their pocket and pull out their smartphone.

Available for Android, the app makes it possible for Pebble Time owners to reply to messages using their voice. The wearable company has teamed up with Nuance to develop voice-driven tools which will include a Dictation program that will enable third-party developers to build apps for both iOS and Android platforms.

While this smartwatch app functionality is currently only limited to emails and text messages, the voice command functionality will eventually be expanded to other forms of communication. Ultimately, this function enables smartwatch owners to enjoy communication functionality with minimum effort.
