'Splash' by Paulo Wang Captures Images of Liquids Clashing

This stunning video from artist Paulo Wang displays the detailed effects of liquids when they defy gravity and are thrown into the air.

The Vienna-based artist created the Splash video with the goal to "learn the basics of fluid stimulations with realflow." The extremely detailed images capture the thick splodges of paint colliding with each other at 30 frames per second, using a high-definition 4D camera. The artist himself states, "Splash is something I made to learn the basics of fluid simulations in RealFlow. It feels like I haven't even scratched the surface yet, but for now I can hardly wait to get back to Mograph, Xpresso and the rest of it."

While this is surely a messy experiment, it is one which is certainly beautiful to look at.
