New Year's Day Celebrations

Pasadena Rose Parade Is Fun But Not Great for Hangovers

The New Year’s Day Rose Parade, or Tournament of Roses, is one of the most publicized annual events occurring in Southern California. Complete with dancers, blaring upbeat music (I pity those with hangovers) and acrobatics, the Rose Parade continues to be popular into its 120th year.

"The Tournament of Roses Parade, better known as the Rose Parade, is the ‘America’s New Year Celebration’, a festival of flowers, music and equestrians and a college football game on New Year’s day, produced by the non-profit Pasadena Tournament of Roses," Wikipedia explains.

The image gallery above shows 2009 Rose Parade pictures, which clearly demonstrate the energetic ambiance of the Pasadena event. What a way to kick off the new year with positivity!
