Floating Urban Workout Tours

The 'Paris Navigating Gym' Gives a Workout Tour of Paris by the Seine

Cycling tourism is a great way to see a new city while getting some exercise at the same time, but the Paris Navigating Gym is an entirely different type of cycling tourism. Rather than having to weave through the crowded streets of Paris, the Paris Navigating Gym is a floating spin studio that gives participants views of the historic city by way of the River Seine.

The Paris Navigating Gym was designed by Carlo Ratti Associati, an Italian design and architecture firm. The gym, which has space for 45 people on stationary bicycles, measures at 66 feet in length. The bikes in the Paris Navigating gym are technologically advanced ARTIS machines. These are capable of converting human pedal power into usable energy that contributes to the barge's movement.
