Eiko Ojalas' Paper Portraits are Achieved Via Clever Drawings

With the apparent use of paper as his medium, Eiko Ojalas achieves paper portraits with skillful illustrations. Each creation possesses impressive paper-like qualities that will have viewers second-guessing each piece. I especially enjoy his landscape piece with the mountainous range. It flows down marvelously and it is evident that the slightest error when creating such would compromise the entire piece.

What is great about his work is how he uses the 3D qualities of origami to his advantage. With soft tones Eiko achieves a pleasant feel throughout his paper portraits. He was clearly an ace at arts and crafts as a child. It is of curiosity of what kind of work Eiko achieved in kindergarten with safety scissors and construction paper.
