David Scwen Does a Great Social Media Campaign for Warby Parker

These cleverly designed paper illustrations are by Design Director and illustrator David Schwen, and were created for a social media campaign commissioned by the glasses company Warby Parker.

David Schwen uses a plain paper background, then adds cut-out pieces of paper in the shape of the hair and lower body of which ever pop culture character he's designing and then completes the look by adding the signature frames the character is known for. Even though these paper illustrations are lacking in detail, you're immediately aware what character is meant to be pictured. The iconic shades help your mind to fill in the blank spaces allowing you to recognize Walter White, Superman and Woody Allen's character Alvie from the movie Annie Hall.

The purpose of the campaign was meant to show how a simple pair of glasses can carry a lot of information.
