Abstracted Angle Compositions

Alexis Facca Creates Ambiguous Paper Artworks That Embrace Color

Working in collaboration with photographer Tom Joye, artist Alexis Facca creates layered paper art works that combines sharp and linear geometries and vivid color hues.

Entitled "The Flat project", the artist's latest series focuses on a miniature 1 x 1 meter set that is built in 3D using paper.

This ambiguous image series by Tom Joye features corner views of the artist's sculpturally built environment and combines the red of the ground with the wood of the set's wall. These angular hues are combined with the bright blue tone of the set's foreground.

Alexis Facca is known for paper artworks that experiment with dimension. In this case, the artist creates a "3D space that is made to appear like a 2D graphic composition."
