Pandemic statistics on the Google Maps platform will include information related to cases of COVID-19 n a given area. When cases rise users will be able to see the increase and its relative geographic location. Cases are presented on the platform as a seven-day average of COVID-19 cases per 100,000 people, as well as weather cases are going up or down.

Previously the platform also displayed any potential delays in transit systems due to pandemic as well as how populated local businesses are. The platform will also show locations where they can access a COVID-19 test.
