Kelly Wearstler’s Pacific Collection contextualizes surfboard design as functional sculpture in home interiors. Drawing on her family’s connection to California surf culture, the collection includes the Pacific Surfboard, Pacific Credenza, Dining Table, and Chair—all handcrafted from layered birch plywood with exposed grain patterns that echo wave contours and coastal topography.
The Pacific Surfboard—a longboard silhouette rendered as fine art—is composed of shaved Russian birch plywood, finished in surf resin to create organic striations and depth. Each piece is unique, its visible layers reminiscent of morning light on the Pacific. The matching credenza, table, and chair reference surfboard contours through gently curved edges, ergonomic proportions, and sculptural wood joinery.
Kelly’s studio developed a proprietary CNC and hand-finishing process that reveals natural grain transitions—a tactile homage to coastal craft and imperfect beauty. Reflecting West Coast minimalism fused with sculptural detail, the Pacific Collection transforms living spaces into ambient environments shaped by the rhythms of surf culture.
