Rolex Drops the Oyster Perpetual Deepsea Challenge Watch

Rolex introduces its first-ever titanium watch design as it launches its new Oyster Perpetual Deepsea Challenge timepiece. It has an impressive water resistance of up to 11,000 meters, which is also 6.8 miles in total. It is based on the new launch of the prototype that filmmaker James Cameron had worn in 2012 when he explored the Mariana Trench, which is notably the Earth's deepest oceanic trench.

This is actually referenced with the engravings Mariana Trench and the dates of "23-01-1960" and "26-03-2012" as a nod to those explorations. To create the piece, Rolex uses a grade five titanium allot that is known as RLX titanium, which is both lightweight and very durable to create a design 30% lighter than the original prototype.
