Voice Message-Storing Pots

The Otopot Lets You Store and Pour Your Voice

The Otopot is an incredible device, developed by Japanese students Takeshi Katayama and Shota Kumiji from the University of Tokyo and Hosei University, that allows you to store your voice before 'pouring' it away like you would pour away water.

To begin recording, you have to remove the lid on the pot -- at this point, you can record a voice message that is up to a minute long. The recording can then be heard by a recipient by removing the lid again. Since the Otopot can only hold one message at a time, messages have to be erased by tipping the pot as if you're pouring out water.

The Otopot is truly a captivating piece of technology and design that could have some fun uses. It can be used to enjoy fun and unusual forms of conversation or convey messages to your significant other or child. It surely could also be used to pull off some hilarious pranks.
