Community Design Companies

Opticos is a Certified B Corporation in California

Opticos has been at the forefront of the B Corporation community (or movement, depending on who you're talking to) since 2007 when it became one of the first businesses with this social and environmental good certification.

What this social business does is, on the one hand, difficult to explain, but on the other hand, it's all so simple. The goal, essentially, is to create healthy, livable communities through design. How do you want your society to look like? What kind of school would your kids go to? How would they get to school? Where would they play? Where would you play? These are the types of questions that are asked by this B Corp in order to create community solutions.

"Blending the best from the past with the most innovative ideas of the present, our multidisciplinary approach results in state-of-the-art projects that are contextually rich, architecturally solid, and aesthetically appealing," write Opticos on its website. "From designs for individual buildings to regional master plans, whether we’re making new neighborhoods or revitalizing old spaces, we create custom-made solutions that directly address the architectural, cultural, and sustainable needs of communities."
