The Día de Muertos-like skull and black field gives the product packaging a pirate feel, while still looking modern and appealing.

According to BLKBOXLabs, "the typography and brand marks were all hand drawn to illustrate the raw craft of roasting coffee." The unique packaging for Onyx Coffee Lab was chosen to separate it from their competitors in the emerging craft coffee world.
