On the Up Tells the Story of Social Entrepreneurs in Africa

On the Up is a project of READ International co-founders Rob and Nikki Wilson that endeavors to tell the inspiring stories of social entrepreneurs working across Africa. Seeking to inspire change, aim the spotlight on social innovators working on the continent and prove that Africa really is "on the up," Rob and Nikki Wilson completed an grand journey of 7890 from Cape Town to Cairo to meet the entrepreneurs transforming Africa.

Receiving financial support from the Winston Church Memorial Trust and support from the Vodafone Foundation, who gifted them with unlimited mobile connectivity across Africa, Rob and Nikki Wilson blogged their way up the continent. Upon their return, they amalgamated their stories into a book upon their return home filled with the inspiring stories they encountered on their trip that took them through 10 countries on buses, trains, planes, motorcycles, bicycles and more.
