Basically, OLEDs are thin organic materials trapped between two electrodes, which illuminate when an electrical charge is applied. OLEDs are thin enough to be applied to rooms as a type of wallpaper that glows at the touch of a finger or when someone enters the room. OLEDs are extremely efficient and now they have the potential to be manufactured at very low cost thanks to the “roll-to-roll†like a newspaper printing technique.
