Old Dane, a nine-hole Nebraska course owned by the family behind Landmand Golf Club, was redesigned and expanded into a 12-hole layout by architect Trevor Dormer, featuring a newly shaped terrain with nearly 30 feet of elevation change and a dramatic "volcano green." The Andersens began construction in late 2024, grassed most holes in 2025 and returned in spring 2026 to finish shaping and irrigation ahead of preview play later in 2026.
Dormer added interest to a previously flat prairie site by incorporating land from the former practice range and reworking routing to create more varied shots. Off-course amenities will include a sizeable putting course, croquet and bocce courts, positioning Old Dane as a companion experience to Landmand and strengthening eastern Nebraska’s appeal for traveling golfers seeking a multi-course pilgrimage.
