Located in the Apennine Mountains, this highly contemporary off-grid wooden cabin was built by the Italian architecture studio Llabb. In terms of size, the structure is relatively compact, measuring only 12 square meters in size. However, the space is intended for "contemplation and introspection" so perhaps, minimal living is the best way to encourage that.
The off-grid wooden cabin occupies the edge of a hill and frames breathtaking views of the Trebbia valley near Genoa. Llabb designed this retreat to be versatile; as such, the "single space [is] designed to be anything from a secluded studio t a yoga retreat." The wooden structure, which has a minimal impact on its surrounding landscape, is called The Hermitage.
