ODOC is hefty: its cast aluminum body is NC-machined to precision tolerances, and inlaid glass disks finish the ends of the cylinder. The hardware is stainless steel. Non-slip features include an elastomeric foot and an o-ring that also provides purchase when you twist the cylinder. The piece is available in tough powder-coat finishes that include high-gloss white, clear-coated satin-aluminum and matte-black.
A smooth ball-bearing mechanism holds the cylinder at multiple positions, so the iPhone’s touchscreen is easily set to the perfect position while the iPhone is charging. Comfortably type an email, browse the Internet, or chat on Facetime without worrying about wearing down the battery. ODOC’s adjustable viewing angle, compact form and substantial heft make it the most versatile iPhone dock out there.
The weighted dock (about three pounds) allows for single-handed iPhone removal. The ODOC also holds and charges the iPhone with or without a case, and includes multiple backrests with varying thicknesses to adjust for the perfect fit. The backrests store inside the cylinder when they’re not in use.
