Secret Election-Night Snaps

Behind-the-Scenes Photos of Obama and Family

Many of us will never know what it’s like to watch TV with your family on Election Night, waiting to see if you’ll become the next president of the United States. These images, shot by Obama campaign photographer David Katz, give us an inside glimpse as to what that felt like for Barack Obama and his family.

Though I was only able to include a small selection of the 82-image Flickr set (see Read More URL below), David Katz’ photos of the Obama family capture the emotions and tension that filled the room.

These behind-the-scenes glimpses give an intimate look into our new president and his family that we would never see on primetime cable news, but are a crucial part of our welcoming Barack Obama into his new role.
