HYPE: The Obama Effect

HYPE: The Obama Effect movie trailer is generating buzz for the feature length Barack Obama documentary by Citizens United Productions.

The trailer was added last week and has already had over 100,000 views. Last month, a 30 second teaser for The Obama Effect aired, and now it's increased to a longer 4:35 version.

The footage begins with a clip from The Ellen DeGeneres Show on which Obama guest starred. The two of them start dancing as the audience cheers, obviously meant to highlight how "hip" the new president could be.

Excerpts from Obama's speeches are played, montaged with impressions left on the media. From political leaders, to social commentators and media experts, the documentary covers many bases. Larry King called him a "political phenomenon."

The video talks about the controversy, the fandemonium, and all the global "hype", both good and bad, surrounding senator Obama.

The fact that the documentary includes both critics and supporters makes it look like it could be a well-balanced film .

The DVD will be available September 1st for $23.95.
